The City of South San Francisco is creating a competitive pool of qualified consulting firms to provide a full suite of administrative, building‑plan‑check, building‑inspection, fire‑plan‑check, fire‑construction‑inspection, and related technical services for its Building Division and Fire Prevention Division. The three‑year contract (July 1 2027 – June 30 2030) may be extended up to two additional one‑year periods. Multiple firms may be awarded agreements, and work will be assigned on a task‑by‑task basis with no guaranteed minimum volume. Respondents must demonstrate at least ten years of fire‑plan‑review experience, possess CASp‑certified personnel, and be able to staff quickly for short‑notice inspections, including weekends. Proposals are due electronically by 5:00 PM PT on November 20 2026; questions are due by October 30 2026; award is expected January 27 2027. Evaluation will consider technical approach, relevant experience, references, team qualifications, cost, quality‑assurance, capacity, and use of digital workflow tools.
