Wheelchair Transportation Services Puget Sound VA Medical Center

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for wheelchair transportation services for the Puget Sound VA Medical Center. The contractor will provide all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of wheelchair transportation services. The services will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. The contractor will transport veterans to and from the VA medical center, clinics, and other authorized locations. Some key requirements for the contractor include: * Providing qualified personnel to accomplish all services under the contract * Maintaining all vehicles in a clean and orderly condition, free from debris and accumulations that may create an accident, injury, or fire hazard * Furnishing procedures that outline preventive maintenance and/or repairs on each vehicle * Ensuring that all contractor personnel are courteous and conduct themselves in a businesslike manner while providing services under the contract * Providing a Quality Control Plan that contains methods for identifying and preventing deficiencies or problems in the quality of service * Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards.
