Courier service for picking up, securing, transporting, and delivery of pre-packaged biological materials

The FDA is seeking a courier service to pick up, secure, transport, and deliver pre-packaged biological materials between the NIH and FDA campuses. The contractor will be responsible for providing a service plan, maintaining the courier service, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The contract will be for a base year with four option years. The contractor will be required to provide two hard-sided insulated containers with a minimum capacity of 400 cubic inches each and ensure that the specimens are handled and transported in accordance with established temperature requirements. • The contractor will be responsible for picking up pre-packaged biological materials from the NIH Blood Bank and delivering them to the FDA. • The contractor will be required to provide a cellular phone capable of receiving and sending emails and texts. • The contractor will be responsible for notifying the FDA via email or text message upon delivery to the FDA and NIH. • The contractor will be required to maintain records of delivery dates and contract funding status.
