Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Services for the Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station

The Santa Fe Solid Waste Management Agency is seeking proposals for household hazardous waste (HHW) collection services for the Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing support services related to operating the HHW collection center, including materials receiving, waste identification, packing, storage, transportation, recycling, treatment, and disposal. The contractor will also be required to assist in training Agency staff as needed. The Agency operates the HHW collection center two days per week, and the contractor must be able to accommodate this schedule. The contractor will also be responsible for providing services for very small quantity generators (VSQGs). Some key aspects of the job include: • Receiving and processing HHW materials • Providing support services for the HHW collection center • Assisting in training Agency staff • Coordinating with the Agency for VSQG waste services • Transporting VSQG waste to a treatment, storage, or disposal facility The Agency is looking for a contractor that can provide high-quality services, ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and maintain a high level of customer service. The selected contractor will be required to submit a detailed scope of work, including a project approach and a value-added plan.
