Sources Sought for Motorola ACE3600 Remote Terminal Unit and Motorola APX6500 Mobile Radio for NAVFAC Hawaii

The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Hawaii (NAVFAC Hawaii) is conducting market research to determine if other potential products or services can provide an integrated radio frequency (RF) alarm panel system with performance capabilities equivalent to the Motorola ACE3600 Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) paired with the Motorola APX6500 mobile radio. The system must meet specific requirements, including providing real-time RF-based remote alarm monitoring and signaling capability, supporting secure VHF/UHF RF communications, and being designed for long-term operation in harsh outdoor marine environments. Interested parties are invited to submit complete technical data, information, and specifications for evaluation. • The system must provide real-time RF-based remote alarm monitoring and signaling capability for caisson and waterfront utility infrastructure. • The system must support programmable logic-based control functions, multi-zone alarm inputs, and remote status telemetry. • The system must be compatible with the existing Motorola-based head-end monitoring and control infrastructure. • The equipment must be designed for long-term operation in harsh outdoor marine environments, including exposure to salt spray, humidity, high temperatures, and water intrusion. • The equipment must comply with FCC regulations for RF transmission, as well as applicable MIL-STD or IEEE standards for industrial control and marine environments.
