Intent to Sole Source to Cummins INC. for Fire Engine Repair

The 22nd Contracting Squadron, McConnell AFB, intends to award a sole-source contract to Cummins, Inc. for the repair of a fire engine. The required services include Cummins diesel engine certified repair, engine removal, disassembly, cleaning, and rebuild, as well as the provision of Cummins Brand Name parts or equal. The contractor must provide a warranty for all parts and services purchased and installed. The performance period for this contract shall be no later than 30 days after award of the contract. • The contractor shall provide all management, tools, diagnostic equipment, supplies, parts, personnel, and labor to complete the engine overhaul. • The contractor must have access to order needed parts or have them readily available. • The contractor shall keep in effect all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance. • All work shall be completed in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations and the terms and conditions of the Statement of Work (SOW).
