Front End and Drive Train Maintenance and Repair

The Austin Independent School District (AISD) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide front end and drive train maintenance and repair services for its fleet of vehicles, including school buses, fleet vehicles, electric vehicles, police vehicles, and trailers. The contract will be for an initial term of one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. The selected vendor will be required to provide services on an as-needed basis, and the district reserves the right to select the awarded vendor that best meets its needs. The scope of work includes front end and drive train maintenance and repair, including king pin repair, axle repair, front end repair, rear end repair, wheel balance, and suspension components. The vendor must have a repair facility within a 40-mile radius of AISD's Transportation & Vehicle Services office and must be able to provide services during normal district business hours. • The vendor must have all relevant licenses and permits to operate as an automotive repair facility and comply with all local, state, and federal statutes. • The vendor must have a minimum of two service technicians fully qualified to work on the vehicles and equipment specified. • The vendor must provide a 12-month labor warranty for all repair services and a minimum 12-month warranty for all repair parts. • The vendor must have insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, garage keeper's liability, and workers' compensation. • The vendor must submit pricing in Attachment B – Vendor Offer Form and must be willing to provide services at the agreed-upon price for the term of the contract.
