Duration
12 months with four 12-month option years, which translates to 5 years in total, but since the question seems to ask for a specific duration after contract award in a single unit of time, this could be interpreted as 60 months or 5 years. However, given the format requirement, the best fit seems to be: 60 months

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $2,000,000

Given the nature of the contract, which involves the fabrication and supply of custom RGP and scleral contact lenses, and considering the period of performance (base year plus four option years), it's challenging to estimate the exact budget without knowing the volume of lenses or the pricing per unit. However, for a contract that could span up to five years and involves specialized medical products, the budget could potentially range widely. If we consider the average cost of custom contact lenses and the potential number of patients, the contract could be valued in the hundreds of thousands to a few million dollars over its lifespan, depending on the specifics of the contract and the number of lenses supplied. Factors influencing the likely payment range include the cost per lens, the number of patients requiring custom lenses, the frequency of lens replacement, and the pricing strategy of the contractor. Given these considerations, a very rough estimate might place the low end of the budget at $200,000 and the high end at $2 million, acknowledging that these figures are highly speculative without more detailed information on pricing and volume.
