Escalator Cleaning

The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified vendor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to provide professional deep-cleaning services for escalators located in the Phoenix Convention Center Department. The contract will be for a five-year period, and services will be performed on an "as needed" basis. The vendor must have a minimum of two years of recent experience operating industrial escalator deep-cleaning machines and must submit a current equipment list identifying all industrial escalator deep-cleaning machines in its possession. • The scope of work includes providing and operating an industrial escalator deep-cleaning machine, applying biodegradable cleaning solution, using brushes and pads designed for escalator grooves and risers, and polishing and removing embedded soils. • The vendor must also utilize a vacuum extraction system with a sealed holding tank to capture wastewater and prevent moisture intrusion. • The vendor will be responsible for collecting and disposing of wastewater and debris in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. • The vendor must provide an on-site supervisor during all cleaning operations and ensure that personnel wear uniforms and visible ID badges. • The vendor must also comply with City of Phoenix safety regulations and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
