The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is requesting a quotation for the final design and fabrication of five custom nitrogen-purged gloveboxes to support the LEGEND project. The gloveboxes will be used for ultra-clean operations and will be equipped with custom large antechambers and stainless steel construction. The project is contingent upon the award of grant funding, and the requested quotation will be used to support project budgeting and funding applications. The scope of work includes the design and fabrication of the gloveboxes, as well as the provision of a proof-of-concept budget for project planning and grant funding purposes. • The gloveboxes must maintain an inert environment of 0.005 bar nitrogen pressurization. • The gloveboxes must allow for quick tool-handling via an antechamber that may be purged in less than 15 minutes. • The gloveboxes must continuously monitor humidity and water vapor ingress. • The gloveboxes must be leak tested according to ISO 10648-2. • Glove ports must allow for quick exchange of a replacement glove in the event of a leak or orientation change.
