ObservSMART Project Management

The Hawaii State Hospital is seeking a qualified contractor to serve as the ObservSMART Project Manager, overseeing the full implementation of the ObservSMART patient‑safety and observation compliance system across the hospital’s facilities on Oahu. The contractor will coordinate clinical and technical teams, manage hardware and software integration, conduct training, and provide on‑site troubleshooting to ensure the system goes live on schedule and delivers measurable improvements in patient care and staff efficiency. • Manage end‑to‑end ObservSMART rollout, including kickoff, weekly meetings, and go‑live coordination. • Lead clinical and IT stakeholder engagement, device procurement, VPN‑GO setup, and ADT/ORM/ORU testing. • Oversee system integration tasks: user authentication, workflow configuration, shortcut installation, and inventory management. • Conduct on‑site and virtual training, provide real‑time support, and troubleshoot issues through project completion. • Must have ≥2 years experience managing ObservSMART in a healthcare setting and be fully compliant with Hawaii state vendor requirements. • Contract period: 01 Oct 2026 – 30 Jun 2027 (extendable), with monthly invoicing.
