Vehicle Body and Repair Service

The Austin Independent School District (AISD) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to provide vehicle body and repair services on an as-needed basis. The services will include general mechanical repairs, air conditioning systems, brake systems, front end, chassis, and wheel alignment, cooling system repair, refrigeration repair, electrical repairs, emission repairs, transmission repair, radiator repair, vehicle accessories installation, body repairs, and other related services. The vendor must have an established, operational automotive body repair facility, and must be located within a 40-mile radius of AISD's Transportation & Vehicle Services office. The vendor must also have factory-trained automotive technicians with relevant licenses and certifications. • The contract term will be for an initial period of one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. • The vendor will be required to provide a 12-month labor warranty for all repair services. • The vendor will be required to maintain certain insurance coverages, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, garage keeper's liability, and workers' compensation. • The vendor will be compensated by AISD for services actually performed and satisfactorily rendered in accordance with contract requirements. • The pricing provided by the vendor will remain firm for the initial term of the agreement, with the option to request price adjustments at the time of renewal.
