SELF-INSURED INSOLVENCIES

The State of Nevada is seeking a third-party administrator to manage workers' compensation claims for self-insured employers and associations that are insolvent. The selected vendor will be responsible for administering claims, including claim management, excess recovery, subrogation, payment, and settlement. The contract will begin on December 1, 2021, and terminate on December 31, 2025. The vendor will be required to provide weekly claims reports, monthly loss runs, and quarterly summary reports. The vendor will also be responsible for coordinating with the Division, the Department of Business & Industry, and the State Treasurer's Office to establish a State of Nevada bank account for payments. Key aspects of the job include: • Administering workers' compensation claims for insolvent self-insured employers and associations • Coordinating with the Division, the Department of Business & Industry, and the State Treasurer's Office • Providing weekly claims reports, monthly loss runs, and quarterly summary reports • Managing claim disputes and representing the Division in hearings and litigation • Ensuring compliance with Nevada statutes, regulations, and other legal authority
