Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking capability information for two aviation‑training devices—a Maintainer Training Unit (MTU) and a Hot Mock‑Up (HMU)—to support its transition to an all‑MH‑60 fleet. This RFI is strictly for market research; no contract award or funding commitment is implied at this stage. The government requests company profiles, technical capability statements, prior experience with similar military training‑device projects, data‑rights positions, contract‑vehicle information, and a non‑binding rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimate for the effort.
• MTU must be able to induce pre‑defined discrepancies for instructor‑led training.
• HMU must instantly simulate faults that appear exactly as they would in an operational MH‑60 cockpit, with wiring that allows fault location using a multimeter.
• Deliverables include engineering support, software that runs on Windows 11 within an air‑gapped environment, technical data packages (drawings, schematics, manuals), and lifecycle sustainment provisions.
• Responses are to be submitted electronically by 2:00 PM EST on 23 Nov 2026, limited to 15 pages (excluding cover) and ≤10 MB attachments.
