RWP - High Pressure Air System Expansion

The United States Air Force is soliciting white papers for a prototype project to design, fabricate, install, and commission a High Pressure Air Storage Expansion (HPASE) system at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold AFB, TN. The project aims to provide additional high pressure air storage capacity and replace existing storage vessels. The scope of work includes engineering, design, analysis, procurement, fabrication, installation, inspection, and testing required for the systems. Key aspects of the project include: • Storage capacity: 27,000 ft^3 and 6,800 ft^3 for Location 1 and 2, respectively • Operating pressure: 4,400 PSIG • Pressure loss: no more than 50 PSID • System integration: seamless connection to the existing HPA distribution system • Control system compatibility: Emerson RX3i Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Proficy Machine Edition 9.5 for PLC software The Air Force is looking for innovative solutions that meet the performance parameters and technical constraints outlined in the solicitation.
