Psychology/Psychiatric Fire Trauma Intervention Specialist Services

The City of Spokane is seeking a licensed mental‑health professional (psychologist, psychiatrist, or comparable provider) to serve as a Trauma Intervention Specialist for its fire department. The contractor must deliver on‑scene crisis support, conduct critical‑incident stress debriefings, maintain 24/7 on‑call availability, provide individual and group therapy, manage documentation for leave programs, and deliver at least three wellness trainings per year. The contract is a one‑year term, renewable up to four additional one‑year extensions (maximum five years). • On‑scene assistance and immediate assessment after traumatic events • Continuous 24 × 7 on‑call coverage and follow‑up therapy (individual/group) • Development and delivery of peer‑support training, wellness seminars, and referral coordination • Mandatory documentation (FMLA, PFML, IOD, etc.) and leadership consultation • Requires Washington State licensure and ability to handle confidential mental‑health records
