RFQ - As-Needed Vehicle Abatement Services

The County of El Dorado is establishing a three‑year Qualified List of contractors to provide on‑demand vehicle abatement services for the Sheriff’s Office. Services include rapid removal of abandoned or illegal vehicles, short‑term storage of up to 50 vehicles, and compliant disposal of vehicles, parts, and hazardous waste. Contractors must maintain a 24/7 public‑access phone line, possess an EPA ID, hold appropriate hazardous‑materials permits, and have at least one wrecker and one multi‑car carrier available at all times. No minimum work is guaranteed; assignments may be made via direct contract negotiations or informal submittals from at least three qualified respondents. • Remove, store, and dispose of automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, boats, trailers, RVs, and related debris on an as‑needed basis. • Complete vehicle removals within five days of referral and provide a storage facility capable of holding 50 vehicles for a minimum of 15 days. • Meet all federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, Uniform Fire Code, California Vehicle Code) and maintain required licensing, insurance, and hazardous‑waste handling certifications.
