Description
The U.S. Geological Survey’s Lake Superior Biological Station requires a contractor to remove approximately 417 gallons of hazardous waste from three areas of the station, provide all necessary packaging, labeling, permits, transport, and disposal documentation, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The contract is a firm‑fixed‑price, one‑year award (09/24/2026‑09/23/2027) and will be awarded to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer. The contractor must respond within 48 hours to a removal notice, complete inventory and packaging within three days, and remove the waste within 25 calendar days of packaging completion. All waste must be taken to an EPA‑approved disposal facility and proper certificates of disposal must be provided. The contractor must maintain required insurances, licenses, and provide a spill‑response plan to the Technical Liaison.
