The State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking professional design services for the repair of the roof, walls, and doors of the Freezer building at the Woodward Resource Center. The selected firm will be responsible for providing design services, including attending a design kick-off meeting, providing material recommendations, and assisting with the development of a hazardous materials bid package. The firm will also be responsible for construction administration, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and participating in project meetings. • The project involves evaluating the freezers at the Woodward Resource Center's Central Distribution Center (CDC) and designing repairs needed for the roof and walls. • The selected firm will be required to provide lump sum pricing for the design services, with the lump sum base scope price being inclusive of all reimbursables. • The firm will be required to provide a detailed breakdown of their proposed fees, including design development documents, construction documents, bidding or negotiation assistance, and construction phase services. • The project is expected to be completed within 12 months, with the selected firm providing regular progress updates and participating in project meetings as required.
