RFQ - 1,4 Dioxane Removal Pilot Project

The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) is seeking a qualified engineering consulting firm to provide professional services for the planning, design, permitting, implementation, and construction support of a 1,4-dioxane removal pilot project. The selected firm will be responsible for designing a pilot-scale treatment system, preparing engineering plans and specifications, obtaining necessary permits, and providing construction-phase support. The project aims to evaluate the feasibility of biologically removing 1,4-dioxane from drinking water using an innovative treatment approach. • The firm should have demonstrated expertise in drinking water treatment facilities, biological treatment processes, and pilot-scale testing of emerging treatment technologies. • The firm should have experience with 1,4-dioxane treatment, biofiltration, bioremediation, or other advanced treatment technologies. • The firm should be able to meet the schedule of deliverables outlined in the project schedule. • The firm should be properly registered with the Office of the Secretary of State and meet the necessary insurance requirements.
