SP26-DNATEST-L01 DNA Testing and Validation Services

The Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory is seeking comprehensive DNA evidence processing services, including full service evidence processing, autosomal DNA STR testing, Y-STR testing, mitochondrial DNA testing, animal DNA testing, DNA extraction of bone and teeth, DNA processing of known database samples, criminal paternity case work, and forensic DNA statistical analyses. The contract will be for a period of up to 6 years, with an estimated expenditure of $2,800,000 per year. The successful bidder will be required to provide a comprehensive discovery response/packet for each forensic case as requested by external customers. • The services will include full service evidence processing, including collection, trace material, and biological/Y-screening. • The contractor will be required to provide autosomal DNA STR testing, Y-STR testing, mitochondrial DNA testing, animal DNA testing, DNA extraction of bone and teeth, and DNA processing of known database samples. • The contractor will also be required to provide criminal paternity case work and forensic DNA statistical analyses. • The contract will be for a period of up to 6 years, with an estimated expenditure of $2,800,000 per year. • The successful bidder will be required to provide a comprehensive discovery response/packet for each forensic case as requested by external customers.
