Assistive Technology 2025

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking responses from organizations capable of providing Assistive Technology services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The services include assistive technology consultation/evaluation, assistive technology devices/equipment, and assistive technology support. The goal is to promote and develop supportive technology as an opportunity for more inclusive and independent lives for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing AT services for adults with ID/DD • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills regarding the range of AT devices available • Considering all components such as person, activity, and environment in AT evaluations and support • Ensuring that all services are provided pursuant to an Individual Support Plan (ISP) • Exhausting all other sources of funds/resources available to the individual before using funds for AT Consultation, Equipment, and/or Support
