The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is hosting two classified industry‑engagement events — a Detection Briefing and a later Technical Requirements Review RFI — to gather feedback on draft detection performance standards and technical requirements for the next‑generation Explosive Detection System (EDS) under the Electronic Baggage Screening Program (EBSP) Recapitalization. Participation is limited to vetted companies and individuals who meet strict personnel‑clearance (PCL) and SSI vetting requirements. Interested vendors must submit a Visit Authorization Request (VAR), a security‑threat assessment package (including a password‑protected vetting spreadsheet and DHS Form 11000‑6 NDA), and a one‑page company/project summary by the extended deadline of 5 PM EDT on 23 Oct 2026. Up to three representatives per accepted vendor may attend the classified briefing at TSA Headquarters, with subsequent one‑on‑one meetings possible.
