North Central Correctional Facility AHU & Condenser Replace Unit A&B

The State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking professional design services to remove and replace the existing AHU and exterior condensing coils in Living Unit A & B at North Central Correctional Facility. The project includes modification to the ductwork, plumbing, electrical, and site work for new equipment pads in two separate locations on campus. The living units will be occupied during construction. The selected designer will be required to provide a project-specific schedule, resumes for all technical staff, anticipated hours and rates for each person on the design team, and a lump sum broken down by schedule of values. • The project requires coordination with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and compliance with their design requirements. • The designer must allow for approved equals and consider the existing controls and equipment. • A hazardous materials survey has not been performed yet, and DAS will coordinate this during design. • The project has a tight deadline, and the designer must be able to meet the required milestones. • The designer will be required to use the Procore online project management system and provide a project-specific Certificate of Insurance.
