METRO TC&C ROOM POWER DISTRIBUTION

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is seeking a qualified contractor to replace and re‑configure power distribution equipment—including transformers, automatic and manual transfer switches, switchboards, and panelboards—in the Train Control and Communication (TC&C) rooms at seven Metro stations, a blowdown pit, a yard tower, and a portal. The scope includes a site survey, preliminary and final design reviews, detailed engineering, procurement, installation of new electrical infrastructure, integration with the Automatic Train Supervision system, removal of existing equipment, labeling, commissioning, testing, as‑built documentation, training, and warranty support. The contract is firm‑fixed‑price, with a three‑year performance period and an estimated value between $1 M and $2.5 M. • Replace transformers, ATS, MTS, switchboards, panelboards across multiple MTA facilities. • Conduct site surveys, Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Final Design Review (FDR). • Size conductors, raceways, breakers; produce detailed design and layout plans. • Install new wiring, conduit, racks, tags, and integrate ATS with MTA’s Automatic Train Supervision system. • Remove and dispose of existing equipment; provide as‑built drawings, manuals, training, and spare parts. • Perform commissioning, acceptance testing, and provide on‑site warranty support. • Submit all required documentation (NDA, safety plans, QA/QC, references, bonds, certifications).
