Anacostia II WWPS Electrical Upgrades

The Anacostia II WWPS Electrical Upgrades project involves the replacement and upgrade of the electrical system at the Anacostia II Wastewater Pumping Station. The project includes various electrical and substation upgrades, such as the replacement of transformers, switchgear, and electrical protection systems. The project also involves the installation of new backup battery systems, ducts, and underground feeders, as well as the provision of temporary power and associated auxiliary equipment. • Replacement of multiple large, medium voltage transformers • Replacement of two switchgear line ups and IPA Enclosures • Replacement of the 13.8kV switchgear and associated electrical protection systems • Replacement of the 4.16kV switchgear and associated electrical protection systems • New backup battery system(s) • Associated ducts / underground feeders and associated cables • New electrical manholes • Providing HVAC in both the 13.8kV and 4.16 kV IPAs • Structures and foundations for 13.8kV and 4.16kV switchgear • Structures and foundations for all transformers • New paving • Stormwater Control Devices • Provision of temporary power • Any associated auxiliary equipment
