Program Instructor Application - January 2026

The City of Avondale Parks, Recreation, and Libraries Department is seeking qualified instructors to provide recreational programs for the community. The Department is looking for contractors who can offer a variety of classes, workshops, and activities that align with the City's mission and goals. The selected contractors will be responsible for providing high-quality programs, managing class schedules, and maintaining accurate records. The City will provide marketing support, facility usage, and registration services. The contractors will be paid 70% of the revenue generated by their programs, and the City will retain 30% as an administration fee. • The City has three "seasons" each calendar year: Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall/Winter • Contractors must submit a program proposal, which includes class schedules, fees, and supply lists • The City reserves the right to approve all class fees and supply fees • Contractors must maintain accurate records, including attendance and revenue reports • The City will provide marketing support, including website promotion, email blasts, and social media advertising • Contractors must comply with City policies and procedures, including background checks and fingerprinting
