RFP 25-013 Property and Casualty Insurance Brokerage Services

The Shawnee Mission School District is seeking a qualified vendor to provide Property and Casualty Insurance Brokerage Services. The selected vendor will work with the District to manage risk and control costs, develop and implement cost-effective insurance and risk financing programs, and provide administrative support. The vendor will also be responsible for accessing the worldwide insurance marketplace, negotiating with insurance companies, and providing pricing and coverage summaries. The contract term is expected to be one year, with up to four annual renewal options. • The vendor will provide services including risk management, insurance brokerage, and administrative support. • The vendor will have experience working with educational and/or governmental entities, and will have a strong understanding of Kansas tort law and insurance requirements. • The vendor will provide a detailed breakdown of all brokerage costs and charges, and will be responsible for obtaining and paying for all necessary permits and licenses. • The vendor will be required to comply with all applicable state and federal anti-discrimination laws and regulations, and will be expected to maintain the privacy of student records and educational data.
