New Markets Tax Credit Consultant

The Berkeley County Schools is seeking a qualified consultant to serve as a New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) specialist. The consultant will support the school district’s efforts to leverage NMTC financing for qualifying projects, ensuring compliance with program guidelines and facilitating successful applications. This role requires deep knowledge of NMTC structures, experience with public‑sector projects, and strong stakeholder coordination. • Provide strategic guidance on NMTC eligibility and project structuring for the school district. • Prepare and manage NMTC application documentation, including financial models, narratives, and compliance reports. • Coordinate with internal staff, external partners, and governmental agencies to secure NMTC financing and monitor ongoing compliance.
