Permanent Public Art at Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Headquarters Building (The HQ) - Terrazzo Floor & Entryway Plaza

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is seeking a professional visual artist or artist team to design, create, and install site-specific terrazzo floor and exterior concrete artwork at the new RTAA Headquarters building and Police Station. The artwork should be thematic, public-facing, and part of the permanent collection at the Airport. The budget for the project is $200,000, all inclusive. The selected artist will be responsible for designing, creating, and installing the artwork, as well as providing all necessary materials and labor. Key points to consider: • The artwork will be located at the new RTAA Headquarters building and Police Station, interior lobby entrance and exterior entrance plaza. • The budget includes design fees, travel, mileage, per diem, engineering, fabrication, supplies, material costs, meeting and administration hours, labor, artist fees, legal review fees, approval by a Nevada-licensed engineer, permits, licenses, lighting, equipment rentals, delivery/shipping, storage, documentation, installation, usage, and licensing. • The selected artist will be required to submit a detailed proposal, including a resume, artist statement, letter of interest, and portfolio images. • The RTAA reserves the right to not award an agreement for any work herein, and issuance of this RFQ does not guarantee any subsequent award.
