State Archives Shelving

The State Historical Society of North Dakota is seeking a qualified vendor to design, fabricate, deliver, and install custom archival steel shelving systems, and to relocate existing shelving and cases within the State Archives facility. The work includes detailed layout drawings, compliance with strict archival load requirements, and a full cleanup after installation. • Provide static, non‑mobile steel shelving (including static carriages, end cabinets, widespan heavy‑duty units) with powder‑coat, boltless, adjustable‑height design. • Deliver and install approximately 7,500 linear feet of archival capacity, meeting load ratings up to 300 lb per shelf (300 lb for open shelving, 150 lb for drawers) and aisle clearance requirements. • Perform site verification, produce preliminary layout/shop drawings for State review, fabricate components (August‑December 2026), deliver by Jan 31 2027, and complete installation/relocation by March 2027 with final inspection by Apr 30 2027.
