URM Insurance Broker Services

The University of Colorado is seeking an insurance broker consultant to provide insurance brokerage support and place necessary coverage in excess of the Risk and Insurance Management Fund (RIMF) Self-Insurance Program and/or Altitude West (AW), the University’s captive insurance company. The selected vendor will provide services including market analysis, risk exposure analysis, administration of coverage portfolios, and claim reporting. The vendor will also provide support for administering a self-insured fund and a captive, and will facilitate discussions and meetings on various risk management and coverage issues. • The vendor will conduct a thorough and unbiased market analysis and forecast by insurance line prior to each renewal. • The vendor will provide brokerage support, including conducting a thorough risk exposure analysis to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate coverage. • The vendor will administer coverage portfolios, including binding coverage, policy review, delivery of all policies, endorsement processing, and accounting and invoicing. • The vendor will provide claim reporting, research, advocacy, and communication as required. • The vendor will collaborate with the Client's counsel, auditor, and risk management team to provide necessary information and/or reports. The University is looking for a vendor with at least 10 years of experience working with public research universities, and at least 5 years of experience working with Colorado public entities. The vendor should have a local office in the Denver metro area and be licensed to do business in the State of Colorado.
