Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to re‑wind stator assemblies on SEPTA’s M4 commuter‑rail fleet, using Kapton MICA insulation. The work includes removal of existing stator units, inspection, rewinding to original specifications, testing, and re‑installation on the rail‑cars. The contractor must meet all DOT nondiscrimination and EEO requirements and be able to submit the bid electronically through SEPTA’s ePS system.
• Re‑wind and refurbish stator components for the M4 fleet, applying Kapton MICA insulation.
• Perform full functional testing and certify compliance with SEPTA’s technical standards.
• Deliver all work under a sealed‑bid contract; bids must remain firm for 90 days and cannot be withdrawn.
• Compliance with Title VI, DOT 49 CFR Part 21, and Executive Order 12549 is mandatory.
• All submissions are electronic only; no mailed or hand‑delivered bids will be accepted.
