RFP: PARATRANSIT OPERATION SERVICES

The City of Minot is seeking a contractor to manage and operate its ADA-compliant, demand-response paratransit services. The contract will be for an initial term of two years, with the possibility of renewal for up to four successive one-year periods. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of management and operations, excluding certification of ADA paratransit eligibility. The contractor must have at least three years of experience providing ADA paratransit services and must submit a proposal that includes information on their experience, management personnel, and financial resources. • The contractor must provide ADA-approved buses and ensure that all trips are within the corridor of fixed route services. • The contractor must comply with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) drug and alcohol testing protocol. • The contractor must train and refresher train applicable employees annually. • The contractor must provide uniform minimum driver standards, including a criminal records check and motor vehicle records check. • The contractor must provide documentation of driver training. • The contractor must provide a list of wheelchair-accessible vehicles used to operate ADA paratransit services.
