The City of Winter Park is seeking a qualified firm to conduct a comprehensive wood‑pole inspection program for its electric distribution system, including non‑destructive testing (e.g., ultrasonic), visual assessments, and condition ratings for roughly 3,500 poles. The scope also covers documenting third‑party (joint‑use) attachments, providing inventory data compatible with GIS, and identifying poles eligible for NJUNS (National Joint Use Notification System) coordination when electric equipment has been removed. Where poles are found structurally deficient, the contractor must install stabilization or bracing systems (e.g., splints, trusses, banding) after City approval, and deliver detailed electronic reports, photographs, and monthly progress updates.
