Liquid De-Icers

The City of Council Bluffs Public Works Operations Division is requesting bids for the supply of liquid de-icers, including Beet 55 and Liquid Calcium Chloride 32%. The contract will be in effect from November 1, 2025, to May 30, 2026. The awarded supplier must guarantee the bid price and availability for up to an additional 2,000 gallons. The city reserves the right to purchase all, part, or none of the additional 2,000 gallons. • The contract includes the supply of 10,000 to 15,000 gallons of Beet 55 and 2,000 to 5,000 gallons of Liquid Calcium Chloride 32%. • The supplier must include a fuel surcharge in the price, if applicable. • The city will accept electronic bid submittals in IonWave until the deadline. • A bid bond, cashier's check, or certified share draft for at least 5% of the total bid is required for bids over $40,000.
