Description

The Department of Human Services is seeking applications for the Children's Trust Fund (CTF) grants to promote primary and secondary child abuse and neglect prevention programs in community-based settings. The CTF Board is committed to funding organizations that are part of a collaborative community-driven approach directly engaging youth, parents, and families. Applicants must provide proposals for a program or service that meets the intent of the CTF Act, which is to create community-based children's programs or services and encourage the development of new and innovative programs that will prevent child abuse and neglect. Some key areas of focus include: • educational services in parenting; • prenatal care; • perinatal bonding; • child development; • basic childcare; • care of children with special needs; • coping with family stress; • personal safety and sexual abuse prevention training for children; • crisis care; • aid to parents; • child abuse counseling; • peer support groups; • lay health visitors; • respite or crisis childcare; and • early identification of families where the potential for child abuse and neglect exists. The CTF Board has defined their funding priorities, which include fostering innovation, well-rooted evidence-based services, and emerging evidence-based services.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $150,000

The budget for this opportunity could be substantial, given that the maximum CTF grant funded portion of the award is $50,000 per year for up to three years. However, the actual budget will depend on the specific proposal and the evaluation of the applicant's program or service. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the applicant's experience, the quality of their proposal, and the level of funding available. A reasonable estimate for the budget could be between $50,000 and $150,000.
