Annual Accounting Work for GASB 87/96 and General Financial Statement Support

Ramsey County seeks a qualified financial professional to provide annual accounting support, specifically for GASB 87/96 compliance and general financial statement preparation. The work will supplement the Finance Department’s staff during peak periods, fill vacancies, and assist with special projects. This role requires strong accounting expertise, familiarity with governmental accounting standards, and the ability to deliver accurate, timely financial reports. • Perform accounting tasks aligned with GASB 87 and GASB 96 requirements. • Prepare and support general financial statements for the county. • Provide analytical and compliance assistance to the Finance Department. • Work under Finance Department leadership, filling gaps during high‑workload periods or staff shortages. • Deliver results on an as‑needed basis through the contract term.
