5716 - Motorsports Park Development Lease and Operations

The City of Redding, California is soliciting proposals for the development, lease, and operation of a 150.75-acre motorsports park located on the east side of the Redding Regional Airport. The city aims to: 1. Activate underutilized airport property 2. Promote economic development and tourism 3. Provide recreational opportunities for the community 4. Ensure compatibility with airport operations and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements The proposal should include: 1. Company information and experience 2. Proposal for lease and operation of the motorsports park 3. Rent structure (monthly and annual) 4. Description of planned activities and events 5. Plans for development, operation, and maintenance of the park 6. Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards 7. Event scheduling and coordination with airport operations 8. Maintenance and repair plans 9. Utilities and services management 10. Concessions and revenue activities management The proposal should be submitted in a sealed envelope with one unbound original, three bound copies, and a PDF copy on a USB drive. The proposal should not exceed 40 typed pages. Key dates: * July 23rd: Site walk-through at 9:00 a.m. * July 24th: Deadline for submitting questions (5:00 p.m. PT) * August 7th: Proposal submission deadline (3:00 p.m. PT) The city reserves the right to negotiate the rent structure and other terms of the lease agreement. The initial term of the lease will be approximately 10 years, with an option to extend for an additional 5 years.
