Notice of Intent to Sole Source HFACS Safety Training

The United States Property and Fiscal Office for Arkansas (USPFO-AR) intends to award a Sole Source contract to HFACS Inc. for specialized human factors training and services. The objective is to provide training using the Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) to improve human performance and safety among the Arkansas Army National Guard workforce. • The contract will be for HFACS training and certification, which is a proprietary method taught by Dr. Wiegmann and Dr. Shappell of HFACS Inc. • The training is required for the Certified Accident Investigation Program (CAIP) per NG Supplement 1 to AR 385-10. • HFACS Inc. is the only known company that can provide certification for HFACS. • The contract type is Firm Fixed Price, and the estimated total price is $25,000.00. • The contract will be awarded under the authority of 41 USC 1901 as implemented in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a single source.
