SCDOT Performance Audit

The South Carolina Office of the State Auditor is seeking qualified firms to conduct a comprehensive performance audit of the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT). The audit will evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness, and economy of SCDOT’s programs and operations, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations. This RFP invites experienced audit and consulting firms to submit detailed proposals outlining their methodology, staffing, and cost approach. • Scope includes reviewing SCDOT’s financial management, project execution, compliance, and performance metrics. • Deliverables: a final audit report with findings, risk assessments, and improvement plans, plus interim briefing presentations. • Required experience: prior governmental performance audit work, familiarity with transportation agencies, and certified public accountant (CPA) or similar credentials. • Proposal submission deadline is November 30, 2026, with an intent‑to‑respond deadline of November 16, 2026 (optional).
