Door Replacements at ImOn Ice Arena

The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting sealed electronic bids for the removal and replacement of a variety of doors and associated hardware at the ImOn Ice Arena. The scope includes supply and installation of panic bars, door closers, overhead door holders, weather seals, new aluminum and metal doors, and related hardware across multiple interior and exterior door locations. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision, coordinate with the City’s Project Manager, and comply with OSHA, state licensing, and environmental regulations. Bids must be submitted through the City’s E‑Procurement portal by 3:00 p.m. CDT on 29 Oct 2026. A pre‑bid meeting on 21 Oct 2026 is strongly encouraged for site walk‑through and clarification. • Replace approximately 18 interior/exterior doors and install new hardware (panic bars, closers, hinges, seals). • Provide and install panic bar hardware sets (6), overhead door holders (3), a high‑speed door closer, and weather seals. • Remove and reinstall existing electrical components for automatic doors and openers. • Perform touch‑up drywall and paint as needed after door work. • Supply all required permits (construction permit waived, other fees not waived) and adhere to OSHA 10 certification for all workers. • Dispose of all demolition waste at contractor’s expense; maintain a clean site daily. • Contractor must be an Iowa‑registered construction business and hold all necessary licenses.
