Door Replacements at ImOn Ice Arena

The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and replace a variety of doors and associated hardware throughout the ImOn Ice Arena. The work includes supplying and installing new panic bar sets, door closers, weather seals, hardware, and related components for approximately 18 doors, as well as demolition, disposal of existing hardware, and coordination with the City’s Project Manager while the arena remains operational. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision, comply with OSHA and state licensing requirements, obtain necessary permits (construction permit waived), and ensure site safety and clean‑up. • Remove and replace multiple interior and exterior doors (double, single, aluminum, HM doors) • Install panic bars, exit devices, door closers, hardware, weather seals, and glass panels • Perform electrical work for auto‑door openers and related components • Provide all labor, tools, supervision, safety gear, and OSHA‑10 certification • Coordinate work schedule with the arena’s ongoing use and City Project Manager • Manage waste disposal, site protection, and post‑installation touch‑up (paint, drywall) • Submit all required documentation (manufacturer literature, OSHA certificates, permits) through the City’s E‑Procurement portal by the deadline.
