Description
The Ramona Unified School District is soliciting bids to remodel an existing classroom at Olive Pierce Middle School into a wellness center. The work includes demolition of interior finishes, construction of new interior 2×4 stud walls with acoustic gypsum board, installation of acoustic ceiling systems, new pendant and recessed LED lighting, HVAC modifications, a new sink and cabinet, ADA‑compliant signage, and new storefront glazing. All work must comply with the 2025 California Building Code and related safety, fire, and accessibility standards, and must be completed within a tight 16‑day construction window.
• Demolition, interior wall framing, acoustic treatment, and finish work to convert a classroom into a wellness center.
• Electrical, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑alarm system upgrades required.
• Strict compliance with California code, ADA, CARB, prevailing‑wage, and numerous certifications (asbestos‑free, drug‑free, recycled‑content, etc.).
• Bid submission deadline 16 Nov 2026; performance bond 100 % of contract price; liquidated damages $500/day for delays past 3 Jan 2027.
