Howard Community College is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive landscape management services for its Dragon Athletic Complex. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, and supervisory personnel to maintain multiple natural‑grass athletic fields (turf, bermuda, and bluegrass), surrounding shrub beds, irrigation systems, and non‑playable areas. The scope includes regular mowing, fertilization, aeration, overseeding, weed/insect/fungus control, top‑dressing, sodding of goal mouths, line marking, edging, spring clean‑up, leaf removal, irrigation start‑up and winterization, and optional field‑blanket installation. A one‑year firm‑fixed‑price contract with two optional renewal years is offered, with a small‑business reserve and a 29 % MBE subcontracting goal. • Provide full‑service turf maintenance for fields #1, #3, #4, #5 (mowing 2‑3×/wk, fertilization, aeration, overseeding, pest control, top‑dressing, etc.) • Maintain surrounding shrubs, trees, and non‑playable grass areas (mowing, edging, weed control, nutrient testing) • Perform irrigation system start‑up, checks, and winterization • Conduct seasonal tasks: spring clean‑up, leaf removal, sand installation in long‑jump pit, shot‑put area upkeep • Submit operational calendar, attend startup meeting, provide weekly reports, and comply with a 29 % MBE subcontracting goal • Optional alternates: up to 5,000 sq ft of spot‑sod/turf restoration per year and field‑blanket installation (Nov‑Feb)
