Moos Tower Dentistry Clinic Renovation

The University of Minnesota is seeking a design team to provide professional design services for the comprehensive renewal and modernization of the School of Dentistry located within Malcolm Moos Health Sciences Tower on the Twin Cities Campus. The project aims to create a state-of-the-art teaching and clinical environment that reflects contemporary dental education and practice standards while addressing critical building infrastructure needs. The design team will be responsible for providing all services and deliverables necessary to complete predesign, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration. The project will be delivered via a Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) method. Key components of the project include modernizing pre-clinical and clinical teaching laboratories, reconfiguring clinic floors, establishing a patient-centered front-door, and upgrading building systems infrastructure. Some of the key features of the project are: • Modernization of 80,000 sq ft on floors 4 and 8 • Reconfiguration of clinic floors to support team-based comprehensive care • Establishment of a true patient-centered front-door • Upgrades to building systems infrastructure • Incorporation of sustainable design strategies consistent with University goals The project has a construction budget of $105,000,000 and is expected to be completed in 36 months.
