The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a firm to provide architectural and engineering services for the improvement of Building 1 accessibility and upgrade of campus elevators at the Manchester Veterans Administration Medical Center. The project includes renovating the main entrance lobby, adding a new elevator, and gut renovating toilet rooms on the first floor to provide ADA access. The selected firm will be responsible for developing complete drawings, specifications, cost estimates, construction schedules, and providing construction period services. The firm must have experience in elevator modernization, design, and coordination, as well as providing Conceptual, Design, and Construction Period services. The project requires a construction phasing plan that minimizes disruptions to the medical center's operations. Key aspects of the project include: • Providing a complete design package for the improvement of Building 1 accessibility and upgrade of campus elevators • Renovating the main entrance lobby and adding a new elevator • Gut renovating toilet rooms on the first floor to provide ADA access • Developing a construction phasing plan that minimizes disruptions to the medical center's operations • Providing construction period services and investigating site visits • Ensuring compliance with the VA's project team goals and Veterans Health Administration design and construction standards
