RFP-889 Architect KVA - THVC Interior/Exterior Renovation

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking professional design services for the interior and exterior renovation of the Thompson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. The selected design team will provide complete design and construction administration services for the project, which includes interior improvements such as resident rooms, restrooms, nursing units, and common areas, as well as exterior improvements such as replacement of all exterior windows and building envelope repairs. The project budget is $7,000,000.00 for design and construction. The scope of work includes ensuring compliance with all CMS, VA, and Kentucky nursing facility regulations, providing programming validation, phased design, cost estimating, bidding support, and construction administration. The consultant team shall include, at a minimum, the following professional design disciplines: Architect, Mechanical Engineer, Interior Design, and Electrical Engineer. • The project requires the services of an Architect and/or Engineer registered in Kentucky. • Respondents are to provide a minimum of three references from similar projects. • The project schedule includes four phases, with a total duration of 545 days. • The selected firm will be required to provide a Federal Standard Form 330 Part II. • The Commonwealth of Kentucky is committed to a policy of providing equal job opportunities on public contracts and prohibiting discrimination based on race, creed, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, or disability in employment.
