Description:
The Town of Bourne is seeking a qualified design or engineering firm to provide professional services associated with marina expansion at Monument Beach in Bourne. The project consists of building on existing physical and social infrastructure while fostering new cooperation between public, private, and nonprofit sectors to enhance existing recreational opportunities, develop additional recreational opportunities, including coastal access, create linkages between existing and proposed facilities, protect sensitive environmental and cultural resources, and ultimately foster economic development, including tourism. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting a feasibility study for the marina expansion project. Some key requirements for the proposal include: • The firm must have completed and signed the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), DSB Application Form. • The firm must possess all necessary current licenses and registrations to qualify under Massachusetts law to perform the function of the consultant. • The firm must demonstrate expertise in marinas and waterfront projects, applicable laws, public outreach, and structural and environmental knowledge based on a previous project/experience narrative. • The firm must have at least three years' experience in the design, construction, and construction administration of marinas and/or waterfront projects. The evaluation of the submissions will be conducted by a committee appointed by the Town, and the judgment of the evaluators will be based upon the evaluation criteria set forth in this RFQ and in the Town of Bourne's Designer Selection Procedures.
