A/E Design of Freight Elevator #12 at GPO Building A

The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking an Architect-Engineering (A/E) firm to provide design services for the replacement and/or retrofit of one freight elevator at the GPO Building A in Washington, D.C. The selected A/E firm will be responsible for performing investigative services, reviewing existing as-built drawings, designing and bidding documents, specifications, construction cost estimates, and construction phasing schedules. The firm will also accommodate reviews by a third-party Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) and provide periodic inspections and final inspections and certifications. * Key aspects of the project include: * Replacement and/or retrofit of one freight elevator * Investigative services to understand existing conditions * Review of existing as-built drawings * Design and bidding documents * Construction cost estimates and phasing schedules * Accommodation of reviews by a third-party SMS * Periodic inspections and final inspections and certifications
